  • ALSTOM


    Yellow Rail delivered a contract for ALSTOM/First Capital Connect to modify 86x4-car Class 319 EMU Traction Control systems at the Cauldwell Walk Depot in Bedford:

    "Yellow Rail has delivered this complex and safety critical modification project very professionally and to the standards demanded by ALSTOM. The programme experienced several challenges as expected at the operational depot, but Yellow Rail demonstrated a high level of flexibility and focus, continuing to deliver units on a unit per day basis.   • TrainFX


    Yellow Rail secured a contract to provide fully managed PIS installation and logistics services for 40 x 2-car and 48 x 3-car, Angel owned/First Great Western operated Class 165 and 166 DMU fleets.

    The Turnkey service was delivered at the First Great Western Train Depot in Reading to ensure minimum disruption to the operational service of the fleets, during the period. The customer’s view of Yellow Rail’s capability is as follows:

  • First Capital Connect


    Yellow Rail delivered a contract for First Capital Connect to carry out depot based operational services on the Class 319/0 fleet. The work incorporated installing new vanity units, replacement heater grilles, seat covers, toilet flooring and several safety critical modifications to the fleet:

  • Atlantic Design


    Yellow Rail secured a contract to provide project management and fully managed installation services to Atlantic Design Transportation. This project required the total installation of new, state of the art kitchen galleys into MKIII coaches for the WSMR passenger fleet.

    "Project Management and installation of the WSMR Mk III galleys represented a complex and challenging project, incorporating over 1200 components in a brand new design for a very short production run.   • Porterbrook


    Yellow Rail successfully completed a contract for Porterbrook to carry out depot-based refurbishment and modification services to the Class 456 EMU fleet. The project incorporated various refurbishment works including GPS installation, the removal of a toilet and replacement with seats and a disabled area, replacement of flooring, traction modifications, VMD, parking brakes, LED lighting replacement, interior panelling etc…

    Yellow Rail have played a significant part in recent upgrades to the Porterbrook Class 456 fleet, delivering successful production phases for a variety of Projects through a commitment to develop a full understanding of Customer needs and a drive to ensure Project aims are achieved in line with Customer expectations. The contract incorporated safety critical traction electronic modifications and culminated with the installation of a Passenger Information System to the agreed specification, programme and budget"

  • Southern Rail


    Following the success of the project, Yellow Rail secured a further contract to provide fully managed installation services for the fleet.

    This project included full installation of a new passenger information system and various modifications including VMD and parking brakes. The installation project was successfully delivered over a 24 week period by Yellow Rail at the Selhurst Train Care Depot in London. Yellow Rail worked closely with Southern Rail throughout the project with Southern Rail's conclusion on the project as follows:


    “Yellow Rail has delivered the installation of the Class 456 PIS project within budget, 100% on-time and with zero variations. Just as important to Southern are the few occasions when project challenges occurred, it was good to know that the support was there from Yellow Rail and that they could be relied upon as an integral part of the project team to overcome these challenges."   • Bombardier Class 375 & 376 GSM-r


     

    I am writing to you in reference to the work carried out by YellowRail on the Class 375/376

     

    Electrostar fleet operated by London and South Eastern Railway (LSER).

     

    Bombardier and YellowRail entered into a contract to provide labour for the installation of the GSM-R upgrade to be carried out on the full fleet.  I can recommend YellowRail as a very suitable contractor for this work, as they have demonstrated a professional and flexible approach from the outset.  The work carried out has been of a high quality and any problem solving has been done efficiently and effectively keeping all parties well informed.  I have found all personnel of YellowRail a pleasure to work with.

  • Stagecoach Southwestern Trains - GSM-R


    Stage Coach

    I can confirm that Stagecoach Southwestern Trains Limited (SSWT) have been provided with a thoroughly professional GSM-R installation service from Yellow Rail.  

    The service provided included all aspects necessary, to move from the invitation to tender stage and contract award  through to final go-live installation.  This entailed the following examples of services provided:

     

    • Development of a project delivery strategy, unique to the project,
    • Development of a risk register related to the service,
    • Development of a site hazard log related to the service,
    • Completion of method statements related to the service,
    • Identification of the project team, including key individuals,.
    • Development of a project action plan,
    • Development of an Engineering Control and Document Control log,
    • Identification of KPI related to the project. etc

     

    The processes and procedures that are in-built into the Yellow rail service provision offer, allowed the installation to be completed in-line with the time-scales and costs identified by SSWT.

  • Petards East Coast


    Petards

    Yellow Rail delivered a high quality installation service for Petards on the East Coast MkIII and MkIV inter-city fleets at Craigentinny and Bounds Green depots.
     
    The scope of work included the installation, commissioning and testing of the Petards EyeTrain CCTV system.
